With literally thousands of Open Source and proprietary Content Management Systems, why is it so difficult to find a shoe that fits? This presentation aims to discuss the Content Management requirements of the government and corporate sector, breaking them down into "show stoppers" and "that'd be nice". An overview of a local government authority's frustrating journey into Content Management, how we've solved these problems with Open Source, and how intelligent content management has fostered a collaborative and highly productive environment amongst previously alienated departments.

Scott's been a web programmer for over 10 years, his first paid job was to create an e-commerce store for a computer reseller at the beginning of the dot com boom. Originally begining life as an ASP developer, Scott has also worked with Java and is now a PHP developer. Scott specialises in business systems and "integrating systems that probably shouldn’t be integrated".

Scott holds a Ba Science (Computer Technology), James Cook University, Townsville.
