Formal Definition

A row of Words or Numbers on a Page.

For instance, the a typographical decision made consciously or automatically within a Paragraph of Prose to end one Line and start a new Line immediately below, or the decision to start a new Paragraph indicating a shift or development of the Subject in a Work of Prose, or the decision to start a new Line according to the meter of a Line of Poetry, or the decision to change the speaker in the dialogue in a Play.
